Lobby Corps: Labor Director


The Labor Director is primarily responsible for informing the members of Lobby Corps, the EVPs and AS Senate on all labor issues dealing with or affecting the University of California. They are responsible for maintaining communication with the USSA Student Labor Action Project (SLAP) Director and United Students Against Sweatshops (USAS), and coordinating labor efforts and campaigns. Additionally, the Labor Director is responsible for maintaining connection with the UC Institute for Labor, the Employment Workers Rights Consortium (WRC) and Local Union Chapters and Leaders, and informing the general body of their actions. Lastly, they serve as liaison to other labor oriented student organizations, and shall help facilitate any campaigns put on in conjunction. Like all officers, they are required to attend all Lobby Corps meetings and quarterly retreats, and are required to hold two (2) regularly scheduled office hours per week or more
