Marketing Director oversees our social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and is in charge of coordinating marketing campaigns and outreach programs for The Bottom Line. The Marketing Director also works closely with the graphic designer and advertising director to build our social media presence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend all weekly editorial board meetings, during which the Marketing Director will provide weekly marketing reports. Such reports should include updates and ideas on recruitment and outreach campaigns.
- If the Marketing Director is not able to attend editorial board meetings, they must provide advance notice, as well as provide their marketing report on the agenda before the meeting.
- In charge of creating and assigning schedules to staff for tabling events, outreach programs, or special events
- Engage in community events and actively seek and develop relations with on and off campus organizations
- Respond to all emails from prospective writers, photographers, and illustrators on how to join The Bottom Line
- Create and oversee quarterly marketing campaigns for both the newspaper and video team
- Utilize Instagram, Digi-Know, class visits, departmental email announcements/listservs, flyers, Facebook, Twitter, and other applicable available platforms to spread the message of TBL’s mission and goals
